69 Million Things I Hate About You by Kira Archer

What do you do when your boss is insufferable and you have won the lottery?  Kira Archer has answered that question for you in her book 69 Million Things I Hate About You. I have just fallen in love with this book and can not wait to get my greedy little hands on book two in the series to see where the other characters go.

My Review

69 Million Things I Hate About You by Kira Archer is a little gem of a book I found on sale. YES, it was on sale when I got this book. The book had me laughing so hard I was bright red and not from embarrassment. I will admit, when I read that the description of the book about the female winning millions in the lottery, I was kind of happy about a female who was on a more of an equal footing when it came to the billionaire men in most of these romance novels. (I am still looking for my billionaire to sweep me off my feet, but my life isn’t a Cinderella story).

What also kind of excited me is all the things she did since she really did not care about keeping her job. As someone who works and needs to pay the bills, I have a plan for when I can finally quit work, all the things I have wanted to say to someone will just come spilling out of my mouth and as I leave the building I am going to play the “Cups Song” from Pitch Perfect as I leave. So, the things she wants to say and do to her boss, I get it and congratulate her on getting to accomplish those things.

While reading 69 Million Things I Hate About You, Kiersten has become my hero. She takes no hostages in her fresh start after winning the lottery. She has no problem getting back at Cole for everything that he has pulled over the years of her being his assistant.

Though everything she did after winning the lottery was in good fun, she never meant any major harm to him or his company. Doing things like not fixing his coffee instead fixing herself a cup and drinking it in front of him, sending him to a black-tie event in costume by switching the dates of two events. Nothing that would have a lasting effect on the business itself just a little mind game to him. But I think the best is the things she does to his yearly poker getaway with his friends.

But the question remains at what point is a harmless prank to far?

About the Author

Kira Archer lives in Pennsylvania with her hubs and two kids. And 3 ridiculous cats. She’s one of those people who laughs at inappropriate moments (especially overly emotional occasions like weddings or funerals), and she has an insanely overactive imagination which is great when she’s writing but not so great when she’s shutting all the lights off at night and then has to go up the stairs. She has a PhD in Procrastination (or would if there was such a thing and there soooo should be because she’s seriously at expert level here). And if she’s not writing, she’s reading, or thinking about reading or writing. And running her kids around because they are busy and she’s the taxi driver. She also writes historical romances as Michelle McLean.
