The Billionaire Bad Boys Club by Emma Holly

I Sometimes wonder what brings me to books like The Billionaire Bad Boys Club by Emma Holly.  I may not know the full reason for my interest.  Maybe it is just something that my conservative heart could never do, but to each their own.  Yes, this book is a Menage.  This was not my first Menage book, but for some reason it is one of my most memorable ones I have read.

MY REVIEW

When as teenagers, next door neighbors Trey and Zane realize they have more in common than they originally thought, they help each other out.  Now working together, they own a business that is growing larger and more popular.  Then there is Rebecca, who gave up everything in order to raise her younger twin brothers.  She worked hard as a teen to not let anyone take the two boys away and split up their family.  While doing this she found and developed a skill and love for cooking.

Though a short meeting between the three has some effect on them it is not until years later that anything happens.  With her applying to be the chef at their newest business venture and her brothers making the “Men of Harvard” edition of their magazine, every aspect of her life seems to have The Bad Boys Club in it.

Character development is good.  You don’t just have this struggling cook with the billionaires.  You get a few glimpses of what led them down their life path.  My favorite character in this book will have to be Rebecca, as the oldest sibling I get the need to take care of the younger siblings.  I am just glad I was never put in this position.  I also like the struggle on Zanes part to be more accepting of what he feels.  It is probably the most important part of this book, though I do read it for the love story.

I was really satisfied with  The Billionaire Bad Boys Club.   It was a good read with a decent plot line and good characters.

The only thing they haven’t tried is seducing the same woman. When they set their sights on sexy chef Rebecca, these bad boys just might have met their match!

Blog Tour: Wooing the Wedding Planner

When I signed up to do the blog tour for Wooing the Wedding Planner by Amber Leigh Williams, there was no plans for the flu, Jury Duty and any other life disturbances but I got them all.  I did find time to read this book during the jury selection process.

I will admit, Wooing the Wedding Planner was a little slow to start.  It took me a few chapters to get into the book, but once I did it was a really good read.

MY REVIEW

When a lack of communication has Roxie agreeing to rent the house that Byron plans to purchase, they are sent on another plan of living together for a year since Bryon already lives in the garage loft.  Putting two people who already are attracted to each other in close proximity will lead to nothing but romance.

Overall I like the characterization of Roxie, she is a girl who has been to the low point in her life.  She may still struggle with the need to be accepted for who she is with the people in her life, but she knows what is really important.  With her romance with Byron she even discovers what she deserves.

The overall plot line is more believable than other romances out there.  Two people who live in the same town, know each other in passing and even find the other attractive being thrown together.  This is a very believable romance (more so than the billionaire stories I love to read).  Yes like all romances it also has a very predictable ending.  Something I have to thank Amber Leigh Williams for, my new dream wedding.

Question for the Readers

What is your favorite Harlequin Serial Read type?  Do you like the Super Romance like Wooing the Wedding Planner? Do you like another type?  My favorite is the Desire Reads, I like that Quick Romance getting swept off your feet.  Or do you not like to read Harlequin at all?  Let me know in the comments down below.

No more wedding marches for her! Wedding planner Roxie Honeycutt can make happy-ever-after come true for anyone except herself. Freshly divorced and done with love, she's okay with watching clients walk down the aisle. What's not okay? Sharing a charming Victorian house with accountant Byron Strong. He's frustratingly sexy and determined to keep her confused. Roxie thought Byron's expertise was numbers, yet somehow he sees her for who she really is. Somehow he understands the hurt she hides behind a trademark smile. Suddenly romance is tempting again, even if it means risking another heartbreak.
