I remember at one time loving historic romances, though I don’t read them often Lord Sebastian’s Secret did catch my eye. Lord Sebastian hiding his difficulty in reading so that he is not thought to be dumb. I really did enjoy Lord Sebastian’s Secret, which was gotten through Netgalley or an honest review.
It has been a while since I have really gotten into reading historical romances, but it is one of my challenges to myself this year. So seeing this book available on Netgalley seemed like a sign to me. Though this was the third book in The Duke’s Sons series. (I found out after reading it.) You really do not need to read the others before hand.
Though the center of this story is Sebastian and Georgina, the things other characters cause is even better. My favorite is the younger sister who is after something of her own. The house guest Mr. Mitra are just as interesting and causing of trouble.
Overall this was an OK of a book. Not perfect but good none the less. At times hard to read and very slow going but when something interesting happened it got good.
Question for Readers
Have you read the previous books in this series? What are your favorite Historical Romances?
